CEOs Have Employee Engagement Problems, Trust Us
Research out from the Institute of Leadership & Management (ILM) suggests we don’t trust our CEOs that much. The Index of Leadership Trust, a survey of over 5,600 employees conducted during the summer, found 31 per cent of us have low or no trust in our senior teams. Unsurprisingly, we place more credence in line managers than top bosses and CEOs of smaller companies have a better trust index than leaders of large corporations. Interestingly, women have a higher level of trust in their senior bosses when they first join an organisation, but this faith in them diminishes over time.
