The One Way to Control What Google Reveals About You
I had not heard of Google Profiles until reading Gina Trapani’s post, Forget the Business Card. Just Google Me. But for anyone who lives in fear of what a Google search of their name will reveal, this is your one shot to control your own message. Basically, the free service allows you to create a profile on a Web page that displays on the first page of a Google search on your name. It shows up at the bottom of the page — perhaps after the damage has been done by the six links above. But it’s better than being buried on page 6.
