Poundland CEO Extolls the Virtue of Value
Poundland, the single-price mixed merchandise retailer has stepped up its Christmas preparations by announcing an expansion of its Christmas range. I spoke to Poundland CEO Jim McCarthy (left) about what this move says about consumer buying habits into the festive season and the longer-term implications into 2010. BNET: How will Poundland’s offer be changed by the expanded lines? Jim McCarthy: We’ve retained the most popular lines from last Christmas.
