Examiner.com Set to Expand into Canada
Back when the Examiner.com acquired Vancouver-based NowPublic, which publishes user-generated-content from a variety of locations around the world, it seemed obvious that the Denver-based company would soon be expanding into Canadian markets. In fact, Examiner.com CEO Rick Blair told me as much at the time. Later this week, then, the Examiner.com will indeed launch Examiner.com Canada in five urban markets — Calgary, Montreal, Vancouver, Toronto, and Ottawa. The company also plans to offer national coverage to users outside of those five large urban centers, and it is currently actively recruiting writers in Canada to flesh out its content offerings.
