Hospital Mergers Are A Major Health Cost Driver
Hospital mergers have been a major driver of runaway health spending over the past decade. But while the FTC and the Department of Justice are reconsidering their antitrust guidelines, it’s unlikely they will be able to restrain further consolidation of hospitals.
