Bermuda Politician Censored for Criticizing Globalhue, the Island’s Tourism Ad Agency

Bermuda's government has struck from its official record remarks by a politician who criticized the island's tourism ad agency, Globalhue, and its relationship with the Bermuda premier, Ewart Brown (pictured). The move sends a curious signal to Bermuda politicians: Criticize Globalhue -- whose handling of the account has been described as "possible criminal activity" by a former Bermuda auditor general -- and you'll be censored.

Australia #2 in Survey of Expats

In a survey commissioned by HSBC Bank International, Australia came in second, behind Canada, as the overall preferred destination for expat workers (or number one in the Asia Pacific region, if you really want to push it). The hand-wringing and speculation over whether President Obama will attend international climate talks next month can finally be laid to rest. The White House made it official this morning and announced Obama would in fact be heading to Copenhagen to participate in the United Nations Climate Change Conference. Even if people view this as a symbolic step, they'd have to agree that it's a mighty big one. Obama's presence does not promise a sudden solution to the world's problems. Possible Suicide Follows Stabbing Linked to Pfizer Layoffs

The body of a man was found in the parking lot of Pfizer (PFE)’s Pearl River, N.Y., site in a possible suicide, police say. Pfizer plans about 200 layoffs at the site. It is the second violent incident associated with layoffs at the company. A few days ago, a former Pfizer scientist in Connecticut was arrested for attempting to stab his wife to death.
